Last day of January, first journal entry

on January 31, 2011

I’ve had journals since I was ten. These notebooks have taken a lot of space and it is hard to take them with you when you transfer houses. In the end I had to dispose of 5 different journals. I’m starting all over again, this time — online. It isn’t the same as my notebooks and scrapbooks but I discovered that there are a lot of fun apps that I can use to make my journal pretty. I’m still getting used to it.

This January I got rid of so many old stuff that I haven’t used for the past 3 years. In the end I was able to fill three large bags. Perfect timing since Buchi outgrew so many things (clothes, toys, baby bottles). This month I officially said goodbye to baby bottles (and along with it, the bottle cleaners, sterilizer), high chairs and a lot of all those baby stuff I bought and probably only used a few times.

Buchi has been fully potty-trained for quite some time and lately he’s been proud of it because it makes him feel all grown-up. He likes to point at little babies and say he’s older because he drinks from a glass already. ;p

I used to hate Mondays because it meant having to wake up early and work the entire day. But I had a wonderful January so I’m not complaining. I have so many things to be grateful for.
