As a kid, I hated ampalaya (bitter gourd). This was in my list of "will never eat again" food. I thought my first encounter with this vegetable would be my last. Years later, I ate my words.

I love sauteed ampalaya. Since I ‘m in-charge of the kitchen and what mostly goes into our tummies, we usually have a serving of ampalaya at least every week. Eug frowns whenever he sees this on the menu. I know this will never be his favorite dish but at least he eats it (he has no choice haha). Buchi, on the otherhand, seems to like it. He had a bowl of rice and ampalaya this evening. No complaints. Yey!
